- 1 / 5By Roxanne Reveler1st visit to Carmela's on recommendations from reviews online. Total disappointment. Only 3 loaves of Italian bread on display. Pointed to the one 1 wanted, and when home saw it had been switched. Loaf was 3" in the largest diameter. Chose a Napolean which, at the front of the display, was loaded with custard. Again, upon arrival home, the one I got was at least a day, maybe more, old. Custard was totally dried out. Ate a third and trashed the remainder. The blueberry bread pudding was fresh as we had the first piece out of it, and would rate it a 6 out of 10. Should have been leary when noticed about 2/3 of the product on display was purchased from a supplier (know this as former bakery owners out of State and recognized the items). There were no buns, rolls, or varieties of bread. A poor excuse for a bakery. For these 3 items, the bill was just over $13. Beware.April 29, 2017
